On December 26, the 10,000th M-Hero M817 PHEV rolled off the assembly line at the Dongfeng plant in China — the first SUV in the world equipped with the Qiankun ADS 4.0 motion control system from Huawei.
A few days ago, one of the cars was handed over to Jin Yuzhi, general director of Huawei's intelligent automotive solutions division, which underscores the strategic partnership between the two companies.
Four trim levels of the M-Hero M817 are available on the market, priced from 301,900 to 369,900 yuan (from 43,000 to 52,600 US dollars). The first batch of 400 cars has already been shipped to the Middle East on December 16, and another 400 units are awaiting shipment in the coming weeks.
The M-Hero M817 is a large SUV with dimensions of 5100/1998/1899 mm (l/w/h), a wheelbase of 3005 mm and a maximum wading depth of 900 mm. The car offers nine driving modes, including snow, deep snow, mud, rocks, sand and water, making it versatile for all road conditions.
The PHEV hybrid power plant develops a total power of 505 kW (677 hp) and a torque of 848 Nm, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. The maximum range on electric power according to the CLTC cycle reaches 215 km, and the total range is 1365 km for the top version with a CATL Freevoy battery with a capacity of 50.4 kWh.
The Huawei Qiankun ADS 4.0 driver assistance system is equipped with 11 high-resolution cameras, three 4D millimeter-wave radars, one 192-line lidar and 12 ultrasonic sensors, a total of 27 sensors. The car is capable of automatically braking in emergency situations at speeds up to 130 km/h.
The interior of the M-Hero M817 features modern technology and comfort: a 10.25-inch dashboard, a 15.6-inch central screen, a projection display, a digital rearview mirror and a built-in refrigerator with a volume of 5.05 liters. The cabin control system runs on the Huawei HarmonySpace 5 platform and can be connected to a satellite network.
The SUV's trunk holds 828 liters, allowing you to simultaneously place 12 suitcases measuring 20 inches, one 28-inch suitcase and one carry-on bag.
In November, M-Hero sales reached 2,007 cars, which is 38.4% more compared to October, demonstrating the growing demand for high-tech hybrid SUVs.
