Китайский семиместный кроссовер VGV U75 Plus: большой и доступный

Это альтернатива Hyundai Santa Fe и Kia Sorento

The seven-seat crossover VGV U75 Plus, brought to Russia by the Chinese concern Sinotruk, has become an alternative to popular models like Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento. The manufacturer, better known for trucks and special equipment, began producing passenger cars under the VGV brand in 2019, which stands for Very Good Vehicle.

VGV U75 Plus

The appearance of the U75 Plus looks conservative, but not boring. Large dimensions, sporty bumpers, and a rear diffuser give the car character, while the discreet design allows it to blend in with the flow of other crossovers on the road. Despite the overall simplicity, the large proportions and style elements make the car recognizable.

The interior of the U75 Plus is designed with a claim to solidity: the seats are upholstered in reddish artificial leather, the front panel imitates stitching, and the ceiling is finished with a soft fabric with a mesh pattern, reminiscent of the interiors of the Toyota Highlander of past years. The finishing materials - matte plastic and dense leatherette - evoke associations with Japanese cars of five years ago.

The interior is equipped with heated seats for four, but there is no climate control, so the temperature must be adjusted manually. The steering column is adjustable in height, the seats are comfortable, and the steering wheel allows you to select the effort in four driving modes. The central screen with Android hides a tablet with the ability to install applications from Google Play, and Yandex navigation requires immersion in the menu. There is no built-in Internet, you have to use tethering from a smartphone.

Under the hood of the VGV U75 Plus is a 2.0 turbo engine with 199 hp, working with an eight-speed hydromechanical automatic transmission from ZF. The power unit allows the car to quickly respond to pressing the gas pedal and confidently accelerate without delays and jerks when shifting gears.

The crossover's suspension is multi-link, which gives some rigidity when driving over bumps. The car is stable in corners, but body roll is noticeable, and controlling the car requires attention. "Speed bumps" must be passed slowly, otherwise the rear suspension noticeably reminds of itself. The U75 Plus does not have all-wheel drive, like the more compact U70 Pro.

One of the main advantages is the spacious seven-seat interior. The third-row seats fold flat with the floor, forming a large trunk. The electric tailgate allows you to program the lifting height, which simplifies operation. The seven-seat configuration makes the car convenient for family and passenger transportation.

VGV crossovers have been supplied to Russia since 2024, assembled in Belarus using the large-unit assembly method with modifications for Russian conditions, including increased ground clearance and a larger windshield washer reservoir. The cost of the U75 Plus in the five-seat version is from 2.95 million rubles, the seven-seat version is 3-3.15 million rubles, and a discount of 150 thousand rubles is provided for cars of 2024.
