Graveyard of Oka Cars Spotted in the USA: Soviet Subcompacts Turned Out to Be Unwanted

Enthusiasts' idea to sell cars on the American market failed

A huge junkyard of Oka cars has been spotted in Colorado. The cars were imported into the country by Mirox for subsequent sale, but something went wrong.

The import of Oka cars into the USA was handled by Mirox from Nevada. There is an assumption that one of the cars even participated in races, as evidenced by the inscription on the hood "Race car" and the bar between the windshield pillars - probably to increase the rigidity of the body.

There is another version, according to which the Oka cars were planned to be converted into electric cars with a 12-volt electric motor.

In Russia, the Oka is widely represented on the secondary market, including in the "time capsule" state. Prices for them reach up to 3 million rubles.
