Zero to 60 in Six Seconds: Racing KamAZ Showcased at VDNKh

Andrey Karginov's crew won the Dakar and Silk Way rallies on the KamAZ truck

A true icon of rally-raids, the KamAZ-43509, on which Andrey Karginov's crew took the Dakar and Silk Way rallies, has been put on display at VDNKh near the "Sun of Moscow" Ferris wheel. The model is being showcased as part of a collaboration between Avito Special Equipment and the KAMAZ-master team.

The KamAZ-43509 is not a museum exhibit, but a machine with a history: thousands of kilometers of mileage on the toughest tracks on the planet. Under the hood, it has 1050 "horses" and only 6 seconds to reach a speed of 100 km/h, with a maximum speed of 165 km/h.

In 2020, the vehicle brought the KAMAZ-master team victory at the Dakar, and before that, it won the Silk Way rally twice. Today, its career in big sports is over - the truck was sold through Avito Special Equipment. But before the car goes into private hands, it was decided to show it to the public.
