Mitsubishi ASX Returns to Russia: Affordable Crossover Cheaper Than "Chinese"

Cars are offered at prices starting from 2.25 million rubles

The third-generation Mitsubishi ASX compact crossovers, manufactured in Japan, have begun to be imported into Russia through parallel imports. These cars, delivered from the UAE, are offered at prices starting from 2.25 million rubles, which makes them competitive compared to Chinese counterparts. For example, the Changan CS35 Plus New costs from 2.57 million rubles, the GAC GS3 — from 2.45 million rubles, and the Geely Coolray — from 2.79 million rubles.

In Omsk, the company offers the basic Basic configuration with front-wheel drive for 2.25 million rubles. Medium Line versions with front or all-wheel drive are also available, as well as the top Highline and Prime Edition. Another Omsk dealer sells an all-wheel drive ASX in the M-Line configuration for 2.39 million rubles. In this version, the crossover is equipped with a fabric interior, leather steering wheel, air conditioning, four USB ports, power mirrors and a media system with a large touch screen.

In other cities, prices vary: in Voronezh, an all-wheel drive ASX with a leather interior costs 2.5 million rubles, in Samara, Moscow and Krasnodar — from 2.58 to 2.6 million rubles, in Kotlas — 2.8 million rubles, and in Saratov — 3.1 million rubles. The highest price was recorded in Yekaterinburg — 3.99 million rubles.

Cars are available in Pskov, Tyumen, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk and Dankov. All crossovers are equipped with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and a continuously variable transmission.
