A rare example of the GAZ-14 "Chaika" representative limousine from 1985 is up for sale. The car has been preserved in its factory condition and has a mileage of only 40,000 km. Despite its age, the car looks decent: the body and chrome elements are in excellent condition, the original Soviet tires have been preserved, although traces of use are noticeable in the cabin.
The limousine is equipped with a 5.5-liter carburetor V8 ZMZ-505 with a capacity of 195 hp, working in tandem with a classic 3-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The owner claims that the car has not been modified and is fully operational. Given the historical significance and preservation, the seller is asking for 2,365,000 rubles for the car - this is about 26,500 dollars.
GAZ-14 is the last limousine produced by the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1977 to 1988. A total of 1110 copies were assembled, and all manually. These cars did not fall into private hands - they were used by ministers, party secretaries and high-ranking officials. Finding such a sample today is a rare success for collectors.
