Japanese company Toyota continues to supply spare parts to Russia for previously sold cars, Autonews reports, citing a statement by Toyota Motor Europe's Senior Corporate Communications Specialist, Kaori Hasegawa.
A Toyota representative clarified that the import of spare parts not subject to sanctions has been maintained in Russia.
According to Hasegawa, this is "done to ensure the safety of customers," of which there are still many in Russia, despite the cessation of official sales of new cars.
Hasegawa added that Toyota "does not plan to start exporting new cars to Russia and resume sales of new cars that fall under sanctions restrictions".
