Belgee Overtakes Lada in Belarusian Auto Market

Belgee also shows growth in the Russian market

In Belarus, the new passenger car market grew by 16.9% in the first eight months of 2025, despite a sales decline in August of 2.7% compared to July and 8% compared to August 2024. In total, dealers sold 4226 cars in August, according to the Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA).

The Belgee brand, representing locally assembled cars, strengthened its position, increasing its market share to 54.4%, which is 5.5% higher than in August 2024. At the same time, Russian Lada is losing popularity: its share in dealer sales decreased by 8%, amounting to 21%. Belarusian buyers are increasingly choosing domestically produced cars, despite the lower prices of Lada in Russia.

Belgee is also showing growth in the Russian market: the Belgee X50 crossover became the second most popular in the SUV segment in August, second only to the Haval Jolion. At the end of September, the new Belgee S50 sedan, which will replace the imported Geely Emgrand, will be presented in Russia.
