The production of Chinese Changan cars may start in Russia, according to Alexander Kulagin, Executive Director of Changan Motors Rus LLC.

According to him, the company aims to localize production at facilities in Russia.

We have conducted all the necessary negotiations and hope to see a car with a local VIN number in the foreseeable future. I think the corresponding statements will follow before the end of the year, but we are not disclosing any details yet.

Kulagin also confirmed that the company intends to modernize the current model range in the UNI and CS series, as well as present a new model range of the Deepal series.

In the near future, it is planned to launch the Avatr 12 electric coupe, the Deepal G318 hybrid crossover, and the new generation CS75 Plus crossover on the Russian market.
