According to the "Autostat" agency, in August 2025, the average price of a used passenger car in Russia amounted to 1.43 million rubles, which is 4% lower than the same indicator in 2024 (1.49 million rubles). The decrease in cost reflects changes in the used car market, where buyers are looking for affordable options in an economically unstable environment.
Among used foreign cars in the price range of about 1.5 million rubles, the 4-year-old Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris are leading in the number of ads. Also popular are the 6-year-old Renault Arkana, the 7-year-old Kia Ceed and Toyota Corolla, as well as the 8-year-old Hyundai Creta. These models attract buyers with a combination of reliability and affordable cost.
In the segment of newer cars within 1.5 million rubles, the 2-year-old Chery Tiggo 4 PRO and Omoda S5 stand out. These Chinese models are gaining popularity due to their modern design and equipment, which makes them competitive in the Russian secondary market.
