One of the most popular pickups on the Russian market, the JAC T9, is now also available in a diesel TDi version. The first batches have already begun to arrive at dealerships, although in some regions cars are expected closer to the end of the month. The novelty has become a direct competitor to models such as Dongfeng DF6, Sollers ST8, GWM Poer and Foton Tunland G7. Dealers note that interest in the diesel version is high, but test drives are not yet offered: cars are available exclusively for purchase.
The cost of the JAC T9 TDi starts from 3,749,000 rubles, while official centers have different discount programs. Depending on the conditions, you can reduce the price to 3,149,000 rubles, which is only 100,000 rubles more expensive than the gasoline version. There is only one diesel configuration so far, but a wide range of body colors is available. At the same time, supplies are limited: some regions note only a few available cars that quickly find buyers.
Under the hood of the diesel T9 is a 2-liter HFC4DB2 turbodiesel with 163 hp and 410 Nm of torque, working in tandem with an 8-speed ZF automatic. For comparison, the gasoline version develops 224 hp and 390 Nm. Despite the lower dynamics at the start, the diesel modification focuses on traction and cross-country ability, is equipped with a 2000 bar injection system and a pre-start heater. The average consumption is 8-9 liters per 100 km.
