Ineos has released a special series of the Grenadier SUV called the Red Devil, timed to coincide with the brand's first anniversary in the Chinese market. Only seven copies will be assembled, each priced at 838,000 yuan (about $115,000). The novelty retains its signature brutal look and comparisons with the classic Land Rover Defender, but has received a number of unique details, including a bright red body, snorkel, protective pads, running boards, a rear ladder and a folding table on the tailgate.
The car retains its impressive dimensions: length - 4896 mm, width - 1930 mm, height - 2036 mm with a wheelbase of 2922 mm. The tailgate is divided in a 30/70 ratio, the cabin is designed for five passengers, and the seats are made in a combination of leather and fabric. For practicality, the luggage compartment is finished with moisture-resistant materials.
Under the hood of the SUV is a 3.0-liter BMW B58 gasoline engine with 286 hp, working together with an 8-speed "automatic" and all-wheel drive system. The arsenal includes a two-stage transfer case, center differential lock and off-road modes. The Grenadier Red Devil is capable of overcoming fords up to 800 mm deep, the approach angle is 35.5°, and the departure angle is 36.1°.
