According to the results of September 2025, 122.7 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia - this is the third month in a row that sales have exceeded 120,000 units. This statistic is provided by the Autostat analytical agency.
However, the result is lower than in September 2024: then sales reached 150.9 thousand cars, that is, the fall was 18.7%. In addition, for the first nine months of 2025, the total market volume amounted to 895.9 thousand new passenger cars, which is 22.4% less than in the same period last year. The number of sales in September 2025 is a record monthly figure in the current year, exceeding the previous record level of August (122.2 thousand) by 500 cars.
Despite this, the market continues to show negative dynamics in annual comparison: the decline both at the end of the month and at the end of 9 months of 2025 remains.
