From Only 1.7 Million Rubles: New Skoda Karoq Prices Drop in Russia

Competitors cost much more

Amid the strengthening of the ruble and before the change in the calculation of the recycling fee, imported cars have become more affordable in the country again. Thus, the Skoda Karoq crossover can now be brought from China at a price of 1.7 million rubles, according to the publication "Auto News of the Day".

The minimum prices are recorded in Vladivostok — for 1,700,000 rubles, the buyer receives a crossover with a fabric interior, two-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, heated front seats and mirrors, a media system with a large screen, and a button start engine. A version with a leather interior and a panoramic roof will cost 1.9 million rubles.

For comparison, the basic Chery Tiggo 4 costs from 2,099,000 rubles, the GAC GS3 — from 2,449,000, and the Geely Coolray — almost 2.8 million rubles.

In other regions, prices are higher: in Krasnoyarsk, they ask for Karoq from 2.07 million rubles, in Novosibirsk — 2.15 million, and in Moscow and St. Petersburg — from 2.23 million rubles. Cars in stock are more expensive — up to 2.9 million rubles in some cities.

All crossovers are equipped with a 1.4-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 150 hp, a seven-speed DSG gearbox and front-wheel drive.
