Rosstat reported that in the first ten months of 2025, 537 thousand passenger cars were produced in Russia, which is almost a tenth less than a year earlier. At the same time, October was the weakest month: assembly lines produced only 50 thousand cars, which means a drop of more than 46% compared to last year. The segment continues to experience pressure due to supply restrictions and restructuring of production processes.
Truck production also decreased. In January - October, about 109 thousand units left the factories, which is almost a third less than the results of 2024. The situation in October was comparable: 11.4 thousand trucks were produced, which corresponds to a drop of over 40% compared to the same dates last year. The dynamics indicate a slowdown in demand and the need for enterprises to adapt to new market conditions.
Against the background of a decrease in the total volume, it is known that AvtoVAZ assembled pre-production copies of the Lada Azimut crossover in October, preparing for its launch. Also, the Gorky Automobile Plant returned to a standard five-day work week after a temporary transition to a shortened schedule in August.
