The first model of the revived Volga brand has received vehicle type approval (OTTS). This was reported by journalist Maxim Kadakov.
According to him, the Volga K50 crossover is a restyled Geely Monjaro.
The dimensions of the new item are 4770×1895×1689 mm with a wheelbase of 2845 mm. The K50 will be available with either 19-inch or 20-inch wheels.
The new Volga will be exclusively all-wheel drive with a two-liter turbo engine and a classic eight-speed automatic. The engine is designed for AI-95 gasoline.
The applicant for the OTTS registration is the United Engineering Center, and the manufacturer of the car is Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Cars.
In 2024, Changan was supposed to become a partner of the Volga brand, and ready-made models were even shown to the head of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers, Mikhail Mishustin. However, the cooperation between the companies did not develop.
