Nearly 4,000 Foton Aumark Trucks Recalled in Russia

The reason was an error in indicating the engine power in the documentation and on the factory plates

A recall campaign has been announced in Russia for 3,934 Foton Aumark trucks. According to a statement by Rosstandart, the initiator of the recall was Stellar Motor Rus, the official representative of the Foton brand in the Russian market.

The decision was made following an unscheduled on-site inspection, which revealed violations and suspended the validity of conformity assessment documents issued for some of the Chinese brand's trucks. The main complaint concerns the discrepancy in data on the maximum engine power: the values indicated on the manufacturer's plate do not match the information in the accompanying documents.

As part of the recall campaign, all vehicles will have the engine plate replaced with the correct maximum power rating in accordance with UN regulations. The program covers 3,488 Foton Aumark M4L chassis sold between 2022 and 2025, as well as 446 similar chassis manufactured between 2022 and 2024 that have not yet been sold.

Stellar Motor Rus will notify truck owners of the need to contact official dealerships. All work under the recall campaign will be carried out free of charge.
