The premiere of the new Foton View van took place in Moscow. The distributor of the model is "MB RUS", formerly the Russian subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz.
Foton View is presented as a rear-wheel drive all-metal van with a two-liter diesel engine producing 159 hp. The engine works in conjunction with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car is available with two options for the height of the cargo compartment, and the carrying capacity varies from 900 to 1285 kg, depending on the version.
The model's interior is equipped with heated steering wheel, driver's seat and windshield, as well as keyless entry and air conditioning, which increases driver comfort during long trips. The cost of the basic version with a low roof is 3.23 million rubles, and the modification with a high roof and a cargo compartment increased to 7 cubic meters — from 3.48 million rubles.
According to preliminary information, a cargo-passenger version will appear later in Russia, which will be converted from an all-metal van. Foton View is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, for which reliability, versatility and ease of operation in Russian cities and highways are important.
