Эти машины начнут штрафовать за тонировку с 9 января

Светопропускание ветрового и передних боковых стекол должно составлять не менее 70%.

From January 9, Russia will begin to fine not only cars with Russian registration for excessive tinting, but also cars temporarily imported from abroad. Amendments are coming into force that close the previous "loophole" that allowed such cars to violate the requirements for glass light transmission with impunity.

The corresponding changes weresigned by President Vladimir Putin at the end of December. The document was published on December 29. Amendments have been made to Article 12.5 of the Administrative Offenses Code. Part 3.1 provides for a fine of 500 rubles for operating a car with excessively tinted windows. Previously, the norms of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union did not apply to temporarily imported vehicles from countries not included in the EAEU, which foreign drivers actively used.

Now, both Russian and foreign motorists are required to comply with the "Basic Provisions for the Admission of Vehicles to Operation." They state that the light transmission of the windshield and front side windows must be at least 70%.

Experts note that the tightening of control over tinting is directly related to road safety issues, since excessive darkening impairs visibility and increases the risk of accidents for both drivers and pedestrians.
