According to Tatiana Ovchinnikova, director of the international car service chain Fit Service, car repair and maintenance services in Russia will rise in price by 20-25% by the end of 2026. The growth will be gradual, but noticeable for consumers.
The reasons for the increase in price will be the increase in tax and administrative burden on companies, the high cost of borrowed funds, and the growth of fixed business expenses. Entrepreneurs will be forced to pass on some of the costs to the end consumer.
In addition, the average age of cars will continue to increase, as most owners do not plan to buy new cars. This will lead to an increase in demand for complex and major repairs of engines, suspension, and other components, increasing the average bill and labor costs of specialists.
Repairing old and technologically complex cars requires highly qualified personnel. Competition for such specialists in the labor market is high, which also increases the payroll and affects the final price of services.
