At the end of 2025, 166 thousand automobiles were sold in Belarus, of which about half were new passenger cars. This was reported at a conference held by Avtopromservis, the official distributor of a number of brands represented in the country. Official dealers sold about 50 thousand new automobiles, while local enterprises produced 29,305 vehicles, accounting for about 18% of the total sales volume.
Electric vehicles continue to gain popularity: in 2025, 31,552 EVs were imported into and produced in the country, which corresponds to 19% of the total market volume. As of today, 15 brands and 25 electric vehicle models are represented in Belarus. Avtopromservis sold 8.7 thousand EVs, or almost a third (28%) of their total number in the country.
As part of the conference, the creation of the Belarusian Electric Transport Association (BETA) was also announced. It will focus on promoting and developing electric transport, as well as increasing the number of electric vehicles in the country. The new organization is expected to help accelerate infrastructure expansion and popularize environmentally friendly cars among Belarusian motorists.
