An average car in Russia costs its owner 20 thousand rubles per month

Experts note that expenses depend on mileage and the age of the car

Maintaining a mid-range car in Russia today costs about 20 thousand rubles per month. This was stated by Vladimir Bespalov, senior analyst at the company "Eyler".

The expert emphasized that for older models from Europe and the United States, expenses may be noticeably higher due to expensive and rare spare parts.

The cost of ownership directly depends on mileage. If we take a car in the mid-price category from two to three million rubles (for example, Geely Coolray), then per month it is somewhere around 20 thousand rubles excluding depreciation. Provided that we are talking about mileage of around 40-50 kilometers per day.

Earlier, studies by Rosgosstrakh and GC "Avtodom" showed that every tenth Russian spends more than 30 thousand rubles per month on maintaining their car. Thus, actual expenses depend greatly on the choice of model, mileage, and the condition of the vehicle.
