KamAZ and Smolmash Launch Combined Machine KDM-7881190 to the Market

The new design allows for quick conversion of equipment and the use of the chassis as a dump truck

PJSC "KamAZ" and the "Smolmash" plant have launched a new combined road machine KDM-7881190 to the market. The model is built on the basis of a four-axle K5 generation KamAZ-65951 dump truck with an 8×4 wheel arrangement and is designed for all-season maintenance of roads with hard surfaces.

The basis of the new machine is the KamAZ-65951 chassis, designed to operate in harsh conditions. The total weight of the car reaches 50 tons. The front axles can withstand loads of up to 18 tons, the rear bogie - up to 32 tons. The vehicle is equipped with a KamAZ P6 diesel engine with a volume of 13 liters and a power of 482 hp with a maximum torque of 2403 Nm. A 16-speed gearbox works in tandem with the engine.

The car received a pneumatic brake system with EBS and an electronically controlled parking brake. The cabin is equipped with a multimedia system with navigation, a hands-free function, the ability to play audio and video, as well as a system for monitoring vehicle parameters and controlling the heater.

Specialists of the "Smolmash" plant have developed quick-detachable sand-spreading equipment with a hopper with a volume of 14 cubic meters made of carbon steel. This design allows you to quickly convert the equipment and use the chassis as a dump truck.

To combat ice, a system for moisturizing anti-icing materials with plastic containers with a volume of 3000 liters is provided. The bunker is also equipped with a dense protective awning.

The process of reagent distribution is automated and controlled from the cab. The sprinkling density is regulated in the range from 5 to 500 g/m², and the width - from 1.2 to 12 meters. The control is duplicated by an ergonomic joystick for quick adjustment of parameters.

The machine is also equipped with a LED chandelier on the cab and an additional LED panel on the hopper. Strobes and LED signs "Arrow" and "Road Works" are installed to warn other road users. Additionally, the KDM received a front hydraulic rotary composite blade four meters wide for effective cleaning of the roadway.
