Chinese Zeekr has unveiled the updated Zeekr 009 — a massive premium MPV that now combines hypercar performance with business jet luxury. The main news is the transition to a full 900-volt architecture with support for ultra-fast 6C charging.
The top-tier dual-motor version delivers 925 hp and 913 Nm of torque — more than many modern Ferrari or Lamborghini supercars. And this is not a sports coupe, but a six-seater minivan over 5.2 meters long.
But even more important is the charging speed. Thanks to the new 900-volt system and 6C battery, the Zeekr 009 can charge from 10% to 80% in about 10 minutes. This is a level where stopping for a charge begins to resemble a regular gasoline car refueling.
Inside, the model is increasingly moving towards ultra-luxury transport. The second row features new “zero-gravity” seats with 22-point massage, a ceiling-mounted 17-inch OLED screen, and a Naim audio system. In some versions, the second-row seats can rotate to face each other — like in a business jet or VIP shuttle.
Special emphasis is placed on electronics. The Zeekr 009 received a lidar and a new Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip with 700 TOPS computing power for driver assistance systems. In essence, the modern Chinese MPV is gradually transforming into a high-performance computer on wheels.
It is China that is now turning minivans into the new technological flagship of the industry. While European brands are focusing on SUVs, Chinese companies are creating ultra-luxury MPVs with characteristics that until recently seemed impossible for family transport.
