The electric wagon Zeekr 7 GT received the maximum five stars in Euro NCAP crash tests conducted according to the new 2026 methodology. This is one of the first cars evaluated under the updated rules, which represent the most significant overhaul of the testing program in over a decade.
The model scored 79% for safe driving, 89% for accident prevention, 93% for collision protection, and 95% for post-accident safety. Experts noted the effective operation of the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, protection against door opening when a cyclist approaches, and maximum scores in side crash tests.
However, the main drawback of the car was identified as its almost complete reliance on the central touchscreen display. According to Euro NCAP, the absence of physical controls increases the risk of driver distraction. During road tests spanning approximately 2,000 km, the speed limit recognition system correctly identified signs in 79% of cases, corresponding to 89% of the distance covered.
The new Euro NCAP methodology shows that today, the final rating is influenced not only by crash test results but also by the ergonomics of the car's interface.
In Europe, the Zeekr 7 GT is offered with 75 and 100 kWh batteries, a range of up to 655 km according to the WLTP cycle, and support for charging power up to 450 kW, allowing it to replenish charge from 10 to 80% in approximately 13 minutes.
