Toyota is preparing to launch the C-HR+ in the Japanese market. According to Car-repo, sales are expected to start in September 2026, but the exact date and Japanese prices have not yet been officially announced.
The car itself is no longer a secret. Toyota unveiled the C-HR+ for Europe back in March 2025. The model is built as a full battery electric vehicle and received two batteries – 57.7 and 77.0 kWh. The maximum declared range reaches 600 km, and buyers can choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive.
The most powerful all-wheel drive version develops 343 hp and accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. The front-wheel drive variant with a 77 kWh battery produces 224 hp and can travel up to 600 km. The base 57.7 kWh version has 167 hp and a range of up to 455 km.
In terms of size, the C-HR+ occupies an intermediate position between the previous C-HR and the larger bZ4X: its length is 4.52 m, and its wheelbase is 2.75 m. Toyota is already producing the C-HR+ at the Takaoka plant in Japan.
For the Japanese market, the appearance of the C-HR+ is particularly interesting. The first generation C-HR became one of Toyota's most successful compact SUVs, but the second generation was not released in Japan. Now the company is bringing back a familiar name in a completely different technical format.
The price of the Japanese version remains the main unknown. Car-repo predicts a cost of about 4.3–4.5 million yen (2.25-2.35 million rubles) and a possible subsidy of 1.3 million yen (about 675,000 rubles), but this is not official Toyota data.
