Lepas is a relatively new Chery brand, created in 2025 specifically for international markets. In China, cars under this brand are not yet sold, but the company is consistently preparing a European lineup. The L6 EV will be the first all-electric Lepas vehicle in Europe, with orders in the UK starting in early Q4 2026.
The crossover received a front electric motor with 217 hp and 275 Nm. The 65 kWh battery uses LFP technology, and the range reaches 449 km according to WLTP. The L6 EV accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, with a top speed of about 180 km/h.
Fast DC charging up to 120 kW is supported. The manufacturer states that charging from 30 to 80% takes approximately 20–22 minutes. There is also a V2L function with 3.3 kW, allowing the car's battery to power external devices.
In the UK, the L6 EV will be offered in two trim levels – Essence and Elevate. Even the base version includes 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, a 13.2-inch central screen, a digital instrument cluster, and a 540-degree camera. The more expensive version will also feature ventilation and heating for the front seats, a Sony audio system, and extended automatic parking functions.
Lepas places special emphasis on warranty. The car comes with a 7-year or 160,000 km warranty, and the high-voltage battery has an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty. For a new Chinese brand, this is an important tool to attract buyers who are not yet familiar with the brand.
However, Lepas is entering Europe not only through the UK. Chery is already preparing deliveries to Italy, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, and Romania. The company is also considering further car production in Europe, including the possibility of using German production sites.
