The Lamborghini Centro Stile design center is celebrating its twentieth anniversary and on this occasion presented the Manifesto concept car, albeit without much fanfare.
The company characterizes it as a "visionary sculpture" that demonstrates the "potential direction of evolution of Lamborghini's unique design DNA."
The company has not yet disclosed technical details about the car, but the brand's design director Mitja Borkert shared several photographs and digital renderings of the project.
Extreme hypercar appearance
The presented images show an extreme hypercar with incredibly aggressive front optics: triangular headlights, signature Y-shaped daytime running lights and a recognizable silhouette of the front section, characteristic of the Italian brand.
The air intakes are made of carbon fiber, which gives the front end even more aggression and technicality.
As it approaches the rear, the body becomes even more sculptural: sharp edges, elongated surfaces, carbon fiber wheels and sporty side skirts create a dynamic image.
Of particular note is the double glass "dome" of the roof - an element that refers to the classic sports prototypes of past decades.
Radical stern
The rear looks very non-trivial: a massive diffuser captures almost the entire lower zone, above it are Y-shaped taillights and a black panel with the Lamborghini emblem.
The engine compartment cover is decorated with sharp vertical elements and, apparently, ventilation slots for cooling the power unit. In some pictures, a red horizontal stripe is visible - presumably, this is an additional brake light.
History of Centro Stile
The Lamborghini Centro Stile design studio was established in 2003, shortly after the brand was acquired by the Audi concern. However, the desire to develop its own design within the company originated back in the eighties, when technical director Giulio Alfieri oversaw the design of the Jalpa and LM002 models.
After integration into the Audi structure, the design processes were streamlined and systematized, their own premises and work methodology appeared, and the Belgian designer Luc Donckerwolke became the first official head of Centro Stile in 2003.
Over two decades of existence, the studio has created a whole gallery of memorable cars - from Murciélago and Gallardo to modern Huracán, Aventador and the Urus crossover. The Manifesto concept demonstrates that the Italian brand is not going to abandon its radical approach to design in the future.
