New Chevrolet Monza gets cheaper: Lada competitor priced from 1.49 million rubles

More than 50 cars are available on the market

New Chevrolet Monzas are being sold in Russia, becoming an affordable alternative to the Lada Vesta and Moskvich 6. The Chinese-assembled cars are imported through parallel imports, and their cost starts from 1.49 million rubles, which is cheaper than the base Lada Vesta at 1.525 million and the Moskvich 6 at 2.53 million rubles.

For 1.49 million rubles in Vladivostok, the Monza is offered in the Dual Clutch Enjoy Edition trim. It includes a digital instrument panel, multimedia with a large touchscreen, a rear-view camera, and climate control, but the interior is finished in fabric and the steering wheel is plastic. For 1.548 million rubles, a version with a leather interior and a multifunctional steering wheel is available, which can be ordered in Ufa or Izhevsk. The price includes the recycling fee and all documents for registration.

The sedans are sold both on order and from stock in dozens of cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, and Nizhny Novgorod. The most affordable car in stock costs 1.62 million rubles in Makhachkala, and in Ufa and Naberezhnye Chelny, prices do not exceed 1.7 million. More than 50 cars are available on the market.

The Chevrolet Monza is equipped with two engines: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 113 horsepower or a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine with 163 horsepower. Both work with a six-speed automatic transmission.
