Sales of Russian-assembled Renault Arkana crossovers have resumed in Russia. After Renault left the market, stocks of the brand's cars decreased, but a batch of 13 new cars remained in the Far East.
Their cost starts from 2.78 million rubles, which makes the model cheaper than Chinese counterparts, such as Changan Uni-T (from 2.87 million rubles) or Knewstar 001 (from 4.16 million rubles).
Most of the cars - 12 out of 13 - are in Khabarovsk, one is in Vladivostok. Eight crossovers are offered for 2.78 million rubles in Prime, Drive and Style trim levels. All of them are equipped with a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 114 hp, a CVT and front-wheel drive. The equipment includes multimedia with a large touch screen and a multifunctional steering wheel. Prime features an eco-leather interior, while Drive and Style have a combined finish.
Five cars in the top Prime version cost 2.94 million rubles. They are equipped with a 1.3-liter turbo engine with 150 hp, all-wheel drive and a CVT-8 variator. The package includes two front USB ports, seats with eco-leather trim and an armrest for rear passengers.
Since 2019, when Arkana appeared in Russia, its price has almost tripled: the basic version then cost 999 thousand rubles.
It recently became known that Renault Arkana will leave the assembly line of the plant in Busan, South Korea, as early as 2025. The European Arkana differed from the Russian model both in platform, interior design and engines.
