Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of "Behind the Wheel", studied the luggage compartment of the Lada Azimut. For the first time, the door is equipped with an electric drive, and the organization of space resembles Vesta - straight walls, a recess for a container with washer fluid, and two organizer compartments under the lids.
The trunk volume of the presented prototype is 508 liters, but the designers are working on optimization so that the production version offers even more usable volume.
Lada Azimut will receive a line of engines with a volume of 1.6 (120 hp) and 1.8 (132 hp), working in tandem with a variator or a Chinese 6-speed manual gearbox. In the future, it is planned to add a turbocharged 1.5 engine (150 hp) with a hydromechanical automatic transmission.
