Ford has announced the recall of 132,914 Lincoln Aviator vehicles from the 2020–2025 model years in the United States due to issues with the attachment of body elements, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported.
The problem is related to the possible detachment of decorative C-pillar covers and rear door window splitter moldings during driving due to insufficient adhesive adhesion.
Detached parts can create a hazard on the road, increasing the risk of accidents. NHTSA estimates that the defect affects approximately 3.2% of the recalled vehicles. Ford has received 1,105 warranty claims related to this issue from June 2020 to April 2025, but no injuries or accidents have been reported.
Ford will notify owners of the problem by mail, starting July 28, 2025. Dealers will repair or replace the defective parts free of charge.
