Russian engineers have presented the Lada Niva Sport project, equipped with a 280 hp turbocharged engine. The concept promises to turn a utilitarian SUV into a dynamic off-road vehicle.
The new modification received reinforced brakes, a redesigned suspension and a modernized transmission to cope with the increased power. Externally, the Niva Sport Turbo features widened wheel arches, an aggressive body kit and a unique wheel design that emphasizes its sporty character.
Under the hood is a turbocharged engine borrowed from other AvtoVAZ models, but modified to achieve the declared power. The engineers also worked on the exhaust system and cooling system to ensure reliable engine operation in extreme conditions.
