Rare Chevrolet Corvette C3 up for sale in Moscow

The car's mileage is only 3,000 km

A 1979 Chevrolet Corvette C3 is up for sale in Moscow for 9.5 million rubles. This car remains the only mass-produced American two-seater sports car that has been produced without interruption for more than 70 years. Created in the 50s as a competitor to European sports cars, the Corvette has become an iconic model embodying the spirit of America. In 1979, the model's production reached a record 53,807 units, which was the peak of popularity for this series.

The design of the Corvette C3 is inspired by the Mako Shark II concept, developed by Bill Mitchell and Larry Shinoda. The streamlined body with a pointed nose and a T-top roof with removable glass panels give the car an aggressive and practical look. The bright red interior with new bucket seats, which appeared in 1979, emphasizes the sporty character of the model, providing improved lateral support.

The exhibited model is equipped with a 5.7-liter engine with a capacity of 213 horsepower, an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The car's mileage is only 3,000 km, and its condition is assessed as excellent, which makes this Corvette C3 a rare find for collectors and car enthusiasts.
