Sales of the flagship version of the GAC M8 Lounge minivan with a four-seat interior layout have started in Russia. The model costs 7.5 million rubles.
GAC calls the M8 Lounge interior a "mobile office." The second-row seats are separated by a special soundproof partition, which houses a 34-inch multimedia system screen for passengers. Behind the screen is electrochromic glass with a dimming function. Rear passengers also have access to an audio system with 13 speakers, including a subwoofer.
The second row features wide seats with an "aviation" profile that can be reclined to a horizontal position. They are adjustable in 10 directions, including electric headrest adjustment in four directions.
There is heating, ventilation and massage function. Each seat has its own wireless smartphone charger, tables and USB connectors. The partition contains a mini-bar with a refrigerator (up to −10°C).
The equipment includes air aromatization in the cabin, a ceiling with "starry sky" lighting and three-zone climate control. The trim uses gray chrome inserts and decorative elements with the texture of agate wood. The GAC M8 Lounge is 5212 mm long with a wheelbase of 3070 mm. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with 231 hp (380 Nm), combined with an 8-speed Aisin "automatic". An electromagnetic suspension is responsible for the smooth ride.
