Lada Iskra to Get Premium Climate Control with Screens in Knobs, But Patience Will Be Required

Interior Photo Revealed

Top-end trims of the new Lada Iskra crossover will be equipped with a modern climate control system featuring mini-screens integrated into the control knobs. The displays on the adjustment rings show the temperature and heating settings, and the installation of such equipment is only intended for the highest-spec versions. Prices for these versions have not yet been disclosed.

Insider KhaDm stated that such knobs will first appear in the Lada Vesta, but production cars with these options will not appear at dealers until December 2025 at the earliest. A similar schedule is expected to be applied to the Lada Iskra as well.

Lada Iskra is already appearing at dealerships, where the cars are attracting the attention of buyers, allowing them to evaluate the model in person. The crossover is built on a modernized CMF-B-LS platform with over 90% localization, offering 1.6-liter engines with 90 or 106 hp. Transmission options include a 5- or 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT, providing flexibility for different driving styles.

Production of Lada Iskra will be partially organized at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, which became known after the signing of an agreement with Avtozavod St. Petersburg LLC at the SPIEF. An AvtoVAZ insider denied rumors of a complete relocation of production, clarifying that this is only an addition to the main base in Togliatti. The model continues to undergo final stages of preparation for mass production.
