Information about the registration of the Maextro trademark, owned by the Chinese company Huawei, has appeared in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property.
This step may indicate the technological giant's plans to expand its presence in the Russian automotive market, although there have been no official statements about the brand's entry into Russia yet.
Maextro debuted in China in 2024, when Huawei, in collaboration with automaker JAC, introduced the luxury hybrid sedan Maextro S800.
The car is positioned as a competitor to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Its dimensions are impressive: the length reaches 5480 mm, and the wheelbase is 3370 mm. Power plants range in power from 530 to 864 horsepower. The electric version provides a range of 602 to 702 km, and the hybrid version provides up to 311 km on electric power.
Additional features include all-wheel steering and the ability to move sideways at an angle of up to 16 degrees, allowing the large sedan to achieve a turning radius of just 3.8 meters.
The cost of the Maextro S800 in the Chinese market ranges from 98.6 to 164.3 thousand dollars. Full-fledged deliveries of the model in China will begin at the end of August 2025. There is no information yet about the prospects for the brand's appearance in Russia, but the registration of the brand may be the first step towards this.
