Kamaz Remains Without Competitors? DONGFENG, FOTON, FAW, and SITRAK Suspend Sales in Russia

Rosstandart Bans Sales of Chinese Trucks Due to Numerous Violations

As a result of unscheduled on-site inspections, Rosstandart identified numerous violations and suspended vehicle type approvals and chassis type approvals for eight models of trucks and one chassis from Chinese manufacturers. The list includes Foton BJ4189 and H5, Dongfeng DFH 4180 and DFH 5200B, Sitrak ZZHS, FAW CA4250, CA4180 and JH6-B 8X4, as well as the Foton M4L chassis.

The reason for the suspension of sales is the violations of mandatory requirements identified during the inspection, which pose a significant danger to the health and lives of both vehicle drivers and other road users.

Such violations include, in particular, non-compliance of vehicles with mandatory requirements regarding: the effectiveness of the braking system, the level of noise emitted by moving vehicles, the identification of vehicle controls, and the installation of a device for calling emergency services.

All manufacturers have been notified of the violations and the need to conduct a recall campaign to eliminate them. After the violations are eliminated, the models can be returned to the Russian market.
