The basic configuration of the Lada Iskra car for 1.25 million rubles does not have air conditioning because not all motorists use it, AvtoVAZ press service said.
Chief project engineer Vitaly Loginov admitted that he is surprised by people's reaction to the fact that this model does not have a cooling device, because "someone needs a car without air conditioning".
It is surprising that society does not accept people who do not really need additional options, and laughs at the fact that someone just needs a car with four wheels.
He added that the company conducted a study and found out that not all drivers use air conditioning, while many of them need rain and light sensors. AvtoVAZ insists that cars in the basic configuration and without air conditioning are even very popular.
