The Mustang That Will Never Roar: Classic Car Gets Tesla's FSD System

An enthusiast has created the first car with FSD system that wasn't manufactured at a Tesla factory

A user of the social network owned by Elon Musk, @Tutrifour, presented a video demonstrating a completely redesigned 1966 Ford Mustang controlled by Tesla's FSD (Full Self-Driving) system. @Tutrifour noted that he spent a lot of time calibrating and achieving full compatibility and correct operation of the system.

Without access to Tesla's integration environment, "befriending" Tesla's software and hardware with analogues from other manufacturers is an extremely difficult task that requires non-standard solutions, and sometimes reverse engineering skills. The project was noticed by the chief engineer of Tesla Cybertruck and received the highest praise from him.

This is the best modification I have ever seen. Not only was it possible to successfully integrate the power system, but also to implement the autonomous driving function, and this was done on a classic and beautiful old car. Amazing!
Wes Morrill, Chief Engineer at Tesla Cybertruck

Elon Musk himself did not comment on the unique project in his social network.
