The only RAF-21A "Aphalina" minivan, built in a single copy, has appeared for sale in Moscow. It is a hybrid of parts from production models RAF-977D, GAZ-21, GAZ-22 and others, the car is estimated at 6 million rubles.
The minivan was built by self-taught engineer Alexey Arsenyev in the 1970s. He invented the design himself, based on the chassis of the RAF-977D minibus.
The body is almost entirely assembled from panels from the Volga - the GAZ-22 station wagon and the GAZ-21 sedan. Decorative elements are taken from other models, including GAZ-12, GAZ-13 Chaika and ZIL government limousines.
The engine was taken from the same 21st Volga with 75 hp, the gearbox is a three-speed manual.
A valuable quality of the homemade product is the availability of documents, the car can be re-registered and registered.
