To celebrate the anniversary of the Bronco model, Ford unveiled the Bronco Roadster concept car, inspired by the original U13. The engineers were able to accurately convey the spirit of the 60s: the car has no roof or doors, the bumpers are plain steel, Fifteen52 wheels in the Heritage style, original parts, and even the Wimbledon White body color.
The door openings have a neat design, instead of the rear row there is a cargo platform, the tailgate has been replaced by a drop-down flap with the Ford logo. The body panels and floor are painted white, and the seats in silver vinyl trim and without headrests - all in the style of the original.
Unfortunately, the car was assembled in a single copy and will not go into series production. This is due to current safety standards; this type of car without doors and a roof would simply not be allowed on public roads these days. However, this concept shows that Ford remembers and honors its heritage, which means that we may see other interesting solutions based on the "well-forgotten old."
