On August 17, 2005, the latest model of the UAZ brand to date, the UAZ "Patriot", rolled off the assembly line of the UAZ plant. The car combines off-road qualities and comfort. The latter is what cars from Ulyanovsk had been lacking for so long. A spacious and more comfortable interior, air conditioning, safety systems - all this showed that UAZ was aiming to become more "civilian".
The plant recalled the achievements of the car, including climbing Mount Elbrus to a height of more than 5 thousand meters, numerous expeditions to remote places, up to the Arctic, as well as the conquest of the 73rd parallel in the Far North by the first car.
In 2025, the model will undergo a slight restyling and expansion of the range of power units - "Patriots" with a turbodiesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission will become available.
