This Geely Crossover Will Compete with Li Auto L9: Geely Galaxy M9 Already a Hit

40,000 Orders Placed in a Day

Geely has introduced its new flagship hybrid SUV, the Galaxy M9, in China, and the interest in the model has been record-breaking: 40,000 orders were collected in the first 24 hours alone. For comparison, the recently introduced Haval Raptor 2026 received half as many applications during the same period, which underscores the massive success of the new product.

The Geely Galaxy M9 is a large crossover with a length of 5205 mm, a width of 1999 mm, and a height of 1800 mm, with a wheelbase of 3030 mm. The interior is designed for six seats and offers a premium level of equipment: seats with massage, heating, and ventilation functions, a 17-inch 3K screen for second-row passengers, and a 30-inch display on the front panel.

The technical specifications are also impressive. It is based on a four-motor setup with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, producing 707 hp. Depending on the version, the battery has a capacity of 18.4 or 41.46 kWh, providing a range of up to 1500 km. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 4.5 seconds, and the average fuel consumption is stated at 4.8 l/100 km. This set of characteristics makes the Galaxy M9 a serious competitor to the Li Auto L9 in the hybrid SUV segment.
