India expects to sharply increase exports of cars and spare parts to Russia. This was announced by the Indian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Vinay Kumar.
According to the diplomat, in addition to the automotive industry, the potential for growth lies in the supply of building materials, fashion goods, textiles, as well as IT products, including smartphones.
The Indian automotive industry is of particular interest to the Russian market, being one of the largest in the world. It accounts for the production of brands such as Mahindra, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar, Hyundai, Kia, Renault and Honda.
These brands dominate the domestic market of India and can occupy their niche in Russia, where Chinese manufacturers lead in sales, controlling more than half of the market.
