Sergey Tselikov, head of the Autostat agency, published information on his Telegram channel stating that 1,082 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia in August, which is 14% less than in July of this year (1,257 vehicles) and 17% less than in August 2024, when 1,302 electric vehicles were sold. The Zeekr 001 continues to lead with 134 cars sold, which is 68% less than in August last year.
Sales of the Avatr 11 electric crossover increased significantly, with 107 vehicles sold in August, a 410% increase compared to August last year. However, this is due to the fact that the brand can now be officially purchased in Russia.
The top five bestsellers also included Evolute I-Pro (94 units), Amberauto A5 (90 units), and Moskvich 3e (88 units). In total, 5,655 electric vehicles have been sold since the beginning of the year, which is 0.9% of the Russian market.
