According to the results of the first eight months of 2025, the number of car thefts in Russia increased by 6% compared to the same period in 2024. The most stolen cars were the brands Hyundai and Kia.
Analysts calculated that Hyundai and Kia cars account for 17% of thefts each. Lexus cars took second place - 14%. They are followed by Lada cars, which account for 11% of thefts.
Mitsubishi and Toyota shared fourth place - 8% each. Mercedes-Benz closes the top five most frequently stolen cars, whose thefts amounted to 5.7%.
According to experts, 34% of thefts occur between 07:00 and 11:00, and another 26% - from 00:00 to 06:00.
