Sales of the locally assembled Geely EX5 electric crossover have started in Belarus, offered at a price comparable to the top-spec Russian Lada Vesta SW Cross. The base version of the model costs 73,900 Belarusian rubles, equivalent to approximately 2,040,000 Russian rubles at the current exchange rate. For comparison, the Lada Vesta SW Cross Techno with a 1.8-liter 122 hp engine and a CVT costs 67,420 BYN in Belarus, or about 1,860,000 rubles, while in Russia its price reaches 2,197,000 rubles.
The Geely EX5 is built on the GEEA 3.0 modular platform, designed for electric vehicles. The front-wheel-drive car is equipped with an "11-in-1" power plant with a 218 hp electric motor, accelerating the 1840 kg crossover to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The lithium-iron-phosphate battery with Short Blade cells provides a range of up to 430 km according to the WLTP cycle, maintaining capacity in the cold. Standard features include 18-inch wheels, tinted windows, keyless entry, leather steering wheel, 15.4-inch multimedia screen, LED optics, active shutters, and retractable door handles.
Additionally, the model includes a winter package with heated seats, climate control, cruise control, 360° cameras, rear parking sensors, a six-speaker audio system, light and rain sensors, as well as a driver's seat with six-way power adjustment and a reclining backrest.
In Russia, the imported Geely EX5 costs from 4,099,990 rubles.
