Automotive concern Stellantis has announced the start of a large-scale and global recall campaign. It covers about 750,000 cars of various brands, including Opel, Maserati and Jeep. It has not been long since the previous recall regarding chain wear, as cars need to visit the service again - this time due to the close proximity of the turbine and fuel rail to each other.
Other brands affected by the problem include Peugeot, Fiat, Citroën, DS, Lancia and Alfa Romeo. The largest number of cars to be recalled are in Germany - 85,642 units. To date, there have been only 11 fire incidents involving Stellantis vehicles, and the cases are being actively investigated.
Stellantis is a Dutch multinational corporation formed in 2021 from the merger of the Italian-American automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) with the French company Groupe PSA.
