Chery cars in Kazakhstan have noticeably become cheaper

Chinese auto giant launches local production in the country

From September 16, 2025, Chery cars became more affordable in Kazakhstan thanks to the launch of local production. Astana Motors announced a reduction in prices for brand models by up to 15%. The new multi-brand plant Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan in Almaty has begun production of the first batch of cars, which have already entered dealerships throughout the country.

The plant, with investments exceeding 202 billion tenge, is capable of producing up to 120 thousand cars annually with a full production cycle, including welding and painting. Chery remains the leader among Chinese brands in Kazakhstan: since December 2021, more than 41 thousand cars have been sold, and for January-August 2025 — 9293 units. The brand consistently ranks in the top 4 most popular brands in the country.

The popularity of Chery is due to a combination of affordable price, modern technology, stylish design and economical engines. The Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 7 models received five stars for safety from ANCAP, and the Arrizo 8 received the highest C-NCAP rating. Buyers are offered favorable conditions: a warranty of up to 7 years or 200 thousand km for individual models, reduced credit rates and up to 2 million tenge in benefits.
